why wider in the front? and off set queston
i know why on the back
when im driving i go over some uneven road the car will pull in what ever directon.
but is a 17x11 that much better then a 17x9.5 i dont want problems nor do i want to spend the extra $ if i dont have to.
wider== more $
front: 17X8 but what offset
rear: 17x9.5 or 17x11 what offsets.
but first; trans rebuilt by D&D, textralia clutch, mosser 12 bolt w/ 4.10 and eather a wet or dryshot (cant decide that eather)
8" wheels can go as small as a 35 ish offset. F&R
9.5" wheels can go with a 38 mm offset. F&R
11" wheels a 50 mm offset is best.
Going any wider than 275s on 9.5" wheels in the front will just increase rolling resistance that much, slowing you down....so it's not good for drag racing...hence the use of skinnies. The other problem is that the car will hunt for ruts in the road even more, and then of course is driving in the rain, which will be a nightmare with 315s on the front.
275's is what I have on the car, and it does fine in pretty much all conditions.

Well, that also has to do with tire design. Directional tires do more pulling than some cheap touring tire. And the wider the fronts, the more they will pull, it's just the nature of the beast.

my new rims will be 17x11 in the back (that be ok for my driving habbits)
then a 17x7/7.5/8 what with for the front would be best?
