Yet again another tire thread. Who has experience with these tires? I have found them for $74 shipped a tire and that is almost a deal that can't be passed up. I do mostly street driving but do play around with some racing. You guys think it is worth the investment? I just want something that will handle and grip well in the dry and decently in the wet.

I have them on now (255/50 16) and they are OK for the price, but I would not ask them for a decent 60' or autocross performance. They are good in the wet and dry cold.

I have them, and I have no complaints. I have had experiences with GSC's, the stock RSA's and some $170 Michelin tires...can't remember what they were I had them on my 94 Z28 3 years ago. Anyways, These $74 tires give me all that I ask and are just as good as any of the other tires Ive had. I don't drag race so I could care less about 60ft times and have no clue how well they hook at the strip, but they are great in the rain and have great dry traction for my driving styles, so for a DD that isn't raced it is a great tire. I have 3k miles on mine and have no signs of wear. I have talked to others who have got between 20k and 30k miles out of theres so I am sure I will get at least 25k miles out of mine. (based on my driving style) I mean for $74 they can't be beat IMO...I don't care what anyone else says. If they only last you 15k miles then you can buy another set and still have spent less than the avg. tire cost.

Just my $.02

I also had them in 255/50/16s, but no matter how low I ran my tire pressure, sometimes as low as 23 psi, the tires wore horribly fast in the center 1/3. Seemed like the only contact the tire made with the ground was the center 1/3 of the contact patch. I was going to sell them to my buddy when I bought 10 spoke SS wheels with F1's from SLP, but they were unable to balance the tires on his wheels.

But yeah, for the money they're ok. I like my Yokohamas way better though (see sig).
