Charcoal TT2's Hey guys, looking for a set of 17" TT2's with glossy charcoal center and polished lip for my '02 SS. I've been looking for a while and can't find anything. There are a few people that I've seen with these wheels on their pewter SS's and I love the way they look, I just can't find them! Please help!!!
I want something that will last, so if I decide to powdercoat them, can they make them glossy and smooth like paint? And can they powdercoat the wheel and leave the lip polished?
Yes they will be glossy and smooth. Some say that powder coating isn't as glossy as paint but I think mine are just as glossy. I have a polished lip too, they will just tape off the lip when they coat them

You don't have to paint them yourself. You can get them from American Racing already painted. The part number is CL205-Custom. Keep in mind these aren't cheap, so you might be better off having some powder coated. Just google American racing and you'll find their site.

The painted ones are not to glossy though. They take a little longer to get and they cost more than the regular polished ones. If you can find a good paint shop or powdercoater in your area then you can just get the polished ones and have them done. That is what 01red and i both did

My friend had a set of painted ones from American racing. I don't know if it was really paint but it was a flat finish, no shine at all. I didn't like the look and they were gray not charcoal.

also I would have gotten mine powdercoated, but my dad has been painting for 20 years so I painted them, they have a few chips in them, but as long as you don't drive through a gravel pit at 80, I think you'll be ok....
