Default Draglites, 15x8 or 15x10??

I have a set of 15x10's I just bought and I'm a bit concerned about the width of them. Can I run a 28x11.5 ? Or is a 15x10 made for a 28x12.5?
I was looking through a jegs book and it says the 10" whell is for a 12.5" tire.

I don't think I need a 12.5" tire and I think it might rub. I planned on running a 11.5" tire.

I have a chance to trade these 15x10's drilled with caps for 15x8's with fairly good 28x11.5" ET streets and a buck fifty to boot.
If It would be better for me to get the 8's I would like to jump on this.

What should I run? Thanks for the advice!

Default I need a little help with wheel/tire selection.

I'm trying to find out what rear wheels I should run at the track. I was using a stock 95 wheel with a 26x10.5x16 et street.
I want to run a 28x11.5x15 on a 15x10 draglite wheel.
Will this work? Or should I run a 15x8 with a 11.5 tire? Thanks.

Here is a link to it in the wheels and tires section.

I run a 28x12.5x15 ET Street on a 15x10 Draglite. You have to do a little massaging of the inner fenders (with a sledge hammer) and radius the rear wheelwell opening (plastic valance). I know the same was true for 28x11.5 Hoosier QTP's, but I think 28x11.5 ET Streets are a little smaller and may not need as much work. Either way, it is worth the effort to get them in there!

IMO, an 8" wheel bulges an 11.5 too much and doesn't give you a good contact patch.

Oh, and adjustable LCA's help to get the tire centered in the opening.

Thanks but I don't want to have to beat the wheel wells in. And I have adj lower coltrol arms. So maybe that will help.

I was told with a 28x11.5x15, I would have to beat the hell out of the wheel wells and possibly have to roll the fenders and even cut the bumper. That didn't sound like fun to me so I went with the 27x11.5x15. My wheels are 15x9.75. The 27x11.5x15 look like a real good fit for that size wheel, now I just need to see how they fit on the car. They fit without modifications for some cars or I might have to knock the wheel well in a little. I don't know yet because I'm waiting on my rear but I should be installing it next week.
