Default Please help on tire size for 15x10 rim

Okay heres the deal. Right now on my car I have 245/40/17 tires on the 17" z06 rims. I also have a rearmounted sts turbo that has extacly 2 1/2" of ground clearance. I'm going to put some 15x10 weld prostars in the rear. Going from a 17" to a 15" will drop me a little. But someone told me I could get a taller tire in the rear to raise it a little in the rear - What Tire size would I need to be a little taller then my 245/40/17. Any help would be great. I wanted to buy those goodyear slicks

I would run a set of 275/50-15s. I had a set of BFG DRs in that size on some 15x10s and it looked very nice.

Your 245/40-17s are about 24.7" tall....the 275/50-15s would be about 25.8".

No problem. Here are a couple pics I found that show the 15x10 + 275/50 combo...I know it's on the wrong car, but I thought it might help anyway.
