Default Bogarts question

Has any body ever run into any problems from driving on Bogarts other then the track? If I buy a set I would have to drive on them to and from the track.

They are not recommended for street use. But, that goes for any "skinnies" out there.

I've put a few thousand miles on my going back and forth from the track without issue.

I've only heard of one guy having problems with one wheel. I can't remember what caused it. I think it was on a Mustang. They're what I'd recommend if you have the $ for a good set of drag wheels.

What if you carried your skinnies(on rims) in the trunk, and just jacked the car up and took off your front street tires at the track?

Our Bogart wheels are designed and optimized for track use. THey are built for straight-line performance which lateral loading is not a concern. As mentioned previously, most (if not all) skinnies are not street legal. I cannot tell you to use ours on the street either.

Many do use them on the street without issues. Many for years. Front radial tires create more stress on the wheel shells...I advise only using either drag front runners or a bias ply MT tire.

We have a very VERY small number of F-bodies whom have damaged a wheel. The wheels are very strong actually, I'd put the P1's up against other drag wheels. If you feel comfortable using a prostar or draglite, then by all means you should feel just as comfortable using ours.

If a wheel is damaged, we do have a warranty and repair service we provide to our customers.

If I decide to do that would I have to worry about any problems with the rears? I dont have a problem with changing the fronts out, but the rears are gona be bulky and that would be a hassle. Either way I plan on going with bogarts no matter what. Also whats a good place to buy the wheels? I plan on buying two sets one for my car and one for my dads.

We set the designs, we work on many of the prototypes. I personally initiated production of our wheels for F-bodies ~5 years ago and have been doing extensive work in continued new designs. You'll notice many wheel designs not listed anywhere else due to this on our site.

If you want service, customer support, backed up warranty through US and continued support after the sale, we would be able to help you best.

We do not warranty our wheels through us which are purchased through non-participating vendors. If you are unsure if a vendor is a participating approved vendor, call us to verify.

We build 99% of the F-body cars you see out there so rest assured the wheels would be built correctly. There are NO part numbers, we build everything to spec.
