NITTO's or BFG KDW'S?
NITTO's or BFG KDW'S? i can get both of these tires for around the same price. my car is daily drivin and will see the track in the summer. im thinking nitto's but what do you guys think? thanks!!!

really? i thought the drag radials would be better? not questioning your thoughts at all just wondering. why do you guys say that? are the kdw's better than the KD's? i dont really care about wet traction all that much. whats wrong with the nittos?
Well, when you say Nitto, that doesn't automatically mean drag radials, as they sell a street radial (the 555).
If you want the ultimate in traction, get the Nittos (the 555Rs). You wouldn't catch me driving my car daily on DRs though. The KDWs are the better daily driver tire from a safety standpoint.

DD both and i like the feel of the nittos better DR's in the rear 555's in the front i think the nittios actully hook better than the bfgs did in the rain. but it would be safer in the rain with 555's all around
If its not being driven at all in the rain, then go with the Nitto 555Rs. I havent driven on 555s or 555Rs in the rain so I cannot attest to how they work, but Ive driven in the rain on KDWs and love 'em. Not a lick of traction problems.
The KDWs arent "better" than the KDs they're just different groovings. The W has a wet weather cut into it, while the KDs are more for dry traction. They're basically identical tires outside of that.

Nitto Drag Radials are great in the rain until they are completely bald... then they can be scary. 
I really like KDWs. I've always ran them in the front.
They are on the rear right now too. I'm going back to drag radials though. The KDWs are too easy to break loose now that they are halfway worn. They still have great rain traction but their dry traction has noticably decreased.

Yeah, no problem with the Nitto DR's in the rain. Just don't get too gas pedal happy, as with any tires in the rain. Road life might not be as high as with actual street tires.
thats kinda what i figured. as ok long as im carefull and not driving like an idiot i should be ok. are they gonna be sticky and launch well? cause right now, with full bolt-ons running street tires i spin all the way through 1st and second and wiggle shifting to third. i have 0 traction right now.
I keep about 24-25psi in them for street use. If you heat them, they will stick. Still might spin a little at that pressure, but nothing like the street tires. Track I go down to about 17psi.

I would get the BF drag radials over the nittos.....I am assuming you can get them for a good price since you can get KDWs for a good price....by the way KDW stands for Killer (I think) Dry Wet, KD is Killer Dry.....
don't forget, DRs wear out a hell of a lot faster than a high performance tire like a KD, KDW, 555, etc
