Rotating Tires ?

Rotating Tires ?

If I do get the 17x11's for the rear and the 17x9.5's for the front, would I then have problems rotating my tires??

Is that even a big deal?

yes. If you really want to rotate, you'll have to take the tires off the rims and switch them to the other side. No front to backs. 17x11's will be using the 315's, which might not work well up front. You'll have turning problems. Besides, you don't want wider tires up front.

What is the purpouse of rotating tires? Ive heard that modern day radials should only ever be spun in on direction, so no left to right swaps..

I meant left/right as in taking the tire off the wheel turning it over, then put same wheel on the opposite side it came from. Tire will still be going the right direction, but on the other side of the car now. Thats the only way I see to rotate Left to Right.

Thats how i run my Street set up with my stock SS rim's 275 up front, 285 in the rear. I don't rotate either, I was just pointing out that's how one would do it. With my Black ZR1's it's 275 up front, 315 in the rear. Also no rotating, but those are the summer tread, and the car isn't driven but 8000 miles a year. So I'm with you on this.
