aw dang. If 315's are a problem them 335's would be worse. I guess I better get a GBFH!! LOL!!
I really don't mind if they stick out a little. I just want some traction. The 275 KDWS's are useless. They even spin in third at 70-80 mph when the boost kicks in.

Instead of more rubber, you might consider staying with what fits (315-335's) and look for a stickier rubber compound. A HUGE hard tire is sometimes not as good as a smaller but real sticky one

That has worked I saw them on a car with that offset. I'm running 18x10.5 black zo6 motorsports with the stock vette offset, I can't remember the number though, I think its 46mm or 48mm.

Your logic is somewhat flawed because you left out one factor......contact patch. And if I wanted to get max hookage I'm well aware of what a full slick can do. We are looking for max traction on a street tire with a relatively stiff sidewall. In this case the more rubber you have on the road the better.
