throwaway drag rim

I'm sure I should know this from the sticky's or FAQ, but I am too slow. Hopefully, y'all can help.

I've got some MT ETs. I think they are 10 inches wide. Maybe 11. I've got them mounted on some 15 x 8 rims and have been running them on my Doge truck.

I'd like to mount them on something that will fit my 2000 Camaro SS. Is there a good place to get some cheap rims that would fit? I only use them for the track.

I found some at Summit for $50 or so, but not sure if they would work? Here is the info: 15 x 8 5 x 4.75 in. Bolt Circle, 2 in. Backspace.

try to pick up some salad shooters from a junkyard or someone local. Shooters are cheap and they will fit your SS.

i believe that you will have to notch your caliper to fit a 15in rim on the car. I may be mistaken though

What is a salad shooter?

Anyone know about the 15 in rim issue?

Maybe I should get some drag radials... but i'd rather use the ET's. I think they would hoook better?

salad shooters are what came stock on 93-97 Z28s. They are 16"..

Where are you located? I have a set with some nitto DRs on them that I am looking to get rid of

15" rims require rear caliper grinding...fyi a 15x8 rim requires 5.5 in. backspace so the wheels you where looking at wont work
