Default Deep Dish Question

hey guys

I'm thinking about getting some wheels for my blacked out WS6

I really like the look of wheels with a big deep dish chrome/polished lip

but a lot of them I see usually cost a boat load

what other rims like that are out there with a good price

i love the CCW 505A but almost $3k for a set?! no thanks!

Look into Budnik wheels. Expect to pay ~1800 for a set<---- still almost half the price of CCW's though.

Ya gotta pay the $$$ if you want a nice custom wheel.

All the lower priced stuff doesn't cut it IMO. To each their own though. Even the good ROHs like the Modenas are big money.

I say go for Boyd wheels if your looking for a cheap way out, for a decent sized lip. Usually just under 3" of lip with their wheels. I had bad luck with them, but many others haven't.

I have some American Racing Rebels (9 1/2") w/275's all the way around...they have a fat lip on them. I'm considering selling them if you are interested...I don't know how to post pics, but if you are interested I can email some to you...just email me cuz I don't check these threads very often. blackls1ta13@aircanopy.net

Doesn't "deep dish" have everything to do backspacing , and little to do with the manufacturer? As in narrowed rear end, and mini tubs- with little backspacing?

Yes.

Most wheel companies don't offer big dish wheels though for cheap $$$. Most wheels are either cast, or two piece (welded). They sell what's available, in whatever size/offset they offer.

A true custom 3 piece wheel, is usually going to give you the big dish. It's custom, so they work with you. It's also going to cost you the money, which in thise case, MetallicaMatt isn't looking at spending.
