I've waited a long time for someone to post those exact wheels on a TransAm or Firebird.

What was the extra cost for the chrome?
LMAO...ok I'll quit. I had to pay an extra $200 ($50 ea. wheel), so the total was $1000.

These rims are 5x120 bolt pattern, right? Any issues with mounting, or is the difference between 5x120 and 5x120.65 not enough to notice?

It's the same bolt pattern as HP Evos, if I'm not mistaken, and there are a shitload of people running them with no problem.

Ive had few sets of 5x120 wheels before without any problems. The only wheels that I can think of with a 5x120.65 are the GM or repro wheels. So if you want anything different, you have to go with a 5x120 pattern.

Yeah I have had a couple sets of 18in. wheels that were listed with a 5x120 bolt pattern not 5x120.65 like GM, and they fit fine (no problems at all).

They are awesome looking wheels. Almost got a set for myself. They are heavy though. Much more than stock.

Actually they are light, amazingly light for a cast 18in. wheel. I picked em up myself to check.

9.5 is the widest that they offer, its wide enough for a 285 which is good enough for me. I may end up going with a 265 up front.

did you weigh one? A dealer supposedly weighed one for me and it was apx. 29-30 lbs. Stock wheels are apx. 22 lbs.

Here is an older thread where we were discussing it.

If you can weigh one, please let us know.

Dang it, I ordered 278's in hyper black from need4speedmotorsports and they said they had a set in the florida warehouse. sweet!! They said I would have them in 3 days. Even sweeter!!! Well that didnt happen. Turns out the boxes were supposedly marked wrong and they had 4 front rims. So I had to change my oreder to the 279's in chrome for the same price. I really didnt want that style but they are starting to grow on me. Ill post pics when i get them mounted.....

I would imagine the 279's are about the same weight as the 278's. Can you weigh one when you get them and report back to us?

279's are too!
