I forget the total size, we'll have JNorris measure it.

6.5" backspace is ghetto, the wheels will be outside the outer fender well lip. 15X10 with a 7.5" backspace is what all the guys who grind their calipers are running. Do a search in this section. Let's get it right the fitst time, this has been too long in coming.

z-ya, the custom one we came up with? Well, I am waiting to see how the prototype wheel fits on JNorris' care before making any reccomendations.

Ghetto on a Camaro yes. I assume you haven't seen them on a T/A...not that I'd know what 6.5" looks like on a T/A, having had a set already

I had Prostars, but if I bought Centerlines I'd probably get Warriors.

I'd say 7bs would be perfect. What do you think?

Mine were dead even with the top of the fender with my 275/50 Nittos. They didn't stick out at all.

I was thinking 7"bs so camaros would not need the BFH mod and would still look good on TAs and Z28s. Think about it. 15x10 no rubbing, no grinding, and regular acorn lugs. That is money in the bank.

I second that, how much are these things gonna run, are they going to mass produce them or are they going to be as much as ordering a set of custom wheels?

Good to know.

I had talked to Weld, Holeshot and Centerline in the past, but it was only recently that I found someone at Centerline who was willing to look at our pictures (JNorris' car) on 15x7.5's and 15x8.5's and think about if they could try something different. I hope it fits his car without mods, but I have no idea. I'd even be okay with a little caliper grinding but not how much we have to do for Welds.

if they are adding 1.5 inchs on the inside of the 7.5 wheel to make 15x9 with 6.5 back space...why cant they just add 2.5 inchs just as easyand make a 15x10 with 7.5 back space?...does that make sence to anyone else but me?

I think the whole idea here is a 'quick fix'. Centerline sounds like they're not in the position to create a wheel from scratch. Semi-understandable (even though they could make a killing with a specific wheel for f-body app's), the idea was to use the 15x7.5 and use another existing wheel they have on hand and use the rear section of it adding it to the 15x7.5 thus creating the 9" width. Correct me if I'm wrong PSJ.

What is truly interesting is that Centerline, Weld and others haven't made wheels for our cars prior to this. About a year age I went through the production figures for the Camaros, Firebirds and Vettes that had had the rear caliper brakes and as I recall there were over 1,000,000 units on the road. If only 1 or 2% bought the drag wheels we are talking about, then it's a pretty significant market. When you think about all the aftermarket parts out there for the really old muscle cars you wonder why with a bigger market these guys, or particularly some of the smaller wheel manufacturers, other than Bogart, don't make a wheel that will fit.

I have gone through the numbers with wheel companies and I was suprised when Holeshot did not step up, but they did not seem to be very driven to try new things.

Centerline had some interest, but only to try existing parts (shells) that they currently manufacture since making a new wheel cost them a lot. I have been dealing with one of the family members that owns Centerline.

I had a great many conversations with Weld over the years, and I talked to Randy and Greg I think. We did not go anywhere. They even discontinued the XP series, and I told them that they flopped because they were too heavy.
