if pricing was comparable to what they have now they would sell out of them within weeks. every guy on here would swipe the card to get his hands on a set of decently priced drag wheels that fit without grinding. me included. i just dropped too much time and money into my brakes to start hacking at them with a grinder. obvioulsy the real serious drag only guys are usually going to look towards a rim such as bogart or the high end welds because they are lighter etc. but most of us on this board are weekend warriors. people who run these rims for track use only and have a a hard time justifying 1600+ for rims that get used for 3 hrs a week.

I would sport the convo Pro. I have loved them since they first came out.
If not, I will bite the bullet and drop the change for some Bogarts.
The thing about the Tel Stars is they are not very light.

I'm all for it. There was a post like this for the 17x11 ZR1's but in the WS6 style and not one manufacturer liked it. You know they will sell.

IT's a big YES for me. Convos or Telstars. Let them know I have cash in hand.

My friend and I are both looking to see what happens. We have talk to Gregory Smith at Weld about this very thing. He said he didn't see this happening till Nov. 06 if it happens at all. This is the E-mail I got from him.

This is on our to-do list to determine manufacturing feasibility. At this time I cannot give you a date of production as we have not been through design and testing yet, much less product approval. There will be a press release to the media if this occurs. At this time I do not think we can introduce this wheel prior to November 2006.

Count me in on a set. I would like to see the Convo Pro that would fit correctly.

I'm looking for drag wheels, but I don't like the idea of grinding my calipers....

If I could just bolt 'em on that would be a big purchase motivator.

I had a set of Convo-Pros. They didnt require any grinding. They just stuck out to far for my tastes. I'd rather have Telestars also.

Convo pros all the way , very light and strong.Hell they only take a .435 long lug so
the studs can be shorter and lighter as well as the lugs.

Come on, a Convo Pro with that big lip in the back, have them fit without grinding, and be affordable... I'd paint the centers black and have an amazing set of wheels for the track. I'm all over it.
