With 17"x11"s there is always a possibility of needing the BFH and/or fender rolling mods with 315s. If lowered, an Adjustable Panhard Bar becomes a virtual necessity. Some have used the +38 offsets with an 11" wheel but it does stick outside the fender and is definitly not recommended on lowered vehicles. +50 and +56 are the two most common. +50 is the better fit (for the ZR-1 replica).

It appears from this eBay ad: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/84-87...45083009QQrdZ1 that in fact the +36mm rears are the desired "deep dish lug" style we are talking about. Can anyone confirm this?
I have read that the +36mm offset will work with Firebirds because of a slightly larger wheel well, but will they work on a Camaro?
Thanks for all the replies guys. I can't wait to get a set of ZR1s .

no there are 2 different types of zr1s..the 11s with the unset lugs...and the 11s with a lip..the lip are factory remans and the deep lugs are afs or what ever..and i too have noticed that there are some zr1s that have flatter spokes with sharper edges(which i love) and the ones that are more round with a softer edge..and on my black zr1s they are oem remans with the lip out back but the frount have the rounder spokes and the back are flatter...

I found some 17x11" ZR1s in the For Sale section that have the "deep dish lugs" and they are the +36mm offset

They do stick out a little, but I guess they fit on Camaros:

ok heres the skinny. the deep center rims came from 2 places. 1 being gm. the oem wheels on the grand sport (36 mm) and the zr1 (50 mm) both had they deep center. then the old style afs rims also had the deep center on either the 36 or the 50 mm. the style that has the lip is made by oe wheels. which are repros. the ones u see with the sharper edges are the newer style afs rims which are now in their 3rd (to my count) design. the first was rounded edge deep center. 2nd was sharper edge deep center. and now sharp edge and same style center as fronts but with deeper lug holes.

Thank you very much LS2 Bait for all the info you posted in this thread. That really clears things up.
Now I just have to make the decision before spring gets here. All this warm weather in Rochester, NY makes me want to take the car out of storage now.
