Default biggest tire on 16 by 8 stock rim

What is the biggest tire that would fit these rims. Is it a 245/50/16? Or will anything bigger fit? Thanks

Hard part is finding a tire manufacture that makes tires for 16" wheels in widths greater than a 255, with an OD close to what an F-Car needs . . .

There are a few pure road race (< 60 to a 0 treadwear rating) tires made in 265/45 16, but even if you could deal with no standing water traction and throwing them away at 1000-1500 miles, you should not put them on an 8" rim anyway. They are also very $$!!
