Whats the biggest tire for a 18x9.5" rim?

Whats the biggest tire for a 18x9.5" rim? Is 275 the biggest I can go on an 18x9.5????
I noticed tire rack has a BFG's KDW2 in 285/60VR18....will it fit?
If all I can fit is a 275, I may have to re-think my whole combo with the 17's in the front and 18's in the rear. Just getting too expensive and I want a big tire for 18's. Probably have to spend more money to get a wider wheel for a bigger tire.....and I know thats not cheap.
Any companys make affordable 10" or 10.5" rims???

i'm running 275/35ZR18's on my 18x9.5's. Very, very pleased. I dunno, would a 285 rub a little? Mine rub just a tiny hair, but I'm pretty sure that's my wheel offset...
