Im really thinking about getting a set of these wheels with Micky Thompson tires. Im thinking to sell my 17x 9.5 and 17x11 ZR1 wheels and use the Dragstar all the time. I usually drive my car around 3K miles a year so im not going to put alot of milage on the wheel tire setup.
Am I going to have a problem running 2-3K miles on the DragStars with M/T's on the street?
Also do i need to notch my brake caliper to fit the Dragstars?

Torque Thrust II polished 17x9.5 with Sumitomo HRZ 275/40-17 is 51.1 pounds.
Torque Thrust II polished 17x11 with Sumitomo HRZ 315/35-17 is 55.5 pounds.
These were the UPS shipping weights on the wheels and tires mounted and balanced.

i just weighed. c5 rims/2001 TA polsihed rims/ and old generid painted lt1 firebird rims.
and this is the wierd part. the C5 17'' rims are Lighter than the TA polished 16" rims or the lt1 painted rims. by almost 1 lb exactly. i always assumed they would be heavier being larger rims.
now im gonna take off my Rear 18's c5 rims and weigh them and see the outcome.
