I've bent both of my 17x11 ARE TTII's about 3 times. All 6 times I was able to straighten it back out and polish it back up. This just gets irritating over time. So as you can tell, I'm quite nervous about getting some 18's or 19's.

So, am I to assume none of you guys has bent or cracked a lip or pinched a tire? Or do you guys drive around at 20mph all the time? Surely someone can comment.

Well, I've got about 12000 miles on my 19s. I actually flatspotted a rim going down to the power tour. We went over a bridge overpass doing about 80mph and bottomed out pretty bad. Come to find out, the right rear inner lip had a flatspot in it as a result.

Fortunately, the Michellin Pilot Sports have an extra stiff sidewall to help absorb some of the impact. The rim was straightened for $75 + mount and balance + rental, and we were back on the power tour a day later.
