what size tire are you looking at here? The widest I saw was a 265 in an 18 and you certianly dont need a 10 for that.
For what your looking at you should stay with a 17 and keep your tire cost down. I run the Nitto RII at 275x40x17 for the same tire in an 18 its 100+ more. Also unless your gonna run over a 3xx why are you looking at 10 rims?

nitto makes a 285/40/17 and 285/35/18

I am looking at the non R (drag radical) non RII(auto cross tire) nitto 555, the actual street tire

why would I need to 3xx tire just cause I want 10" rims?

I check the tires out very carefully and know the correct size tires for the widths of my wheels in consideration

a 285 tire is actually 11.2" wide
a 295 is 11.6" wide
a 305 is 12.0" wide
a 315 is 12.4" wide

sure another inch in the rear would be nice, but I think 11.2 or 11.6 is enough to make me happy

and I have thought about 17s all around, but that starts making me think about buying OEM ZR1 wheels (Grand Sports) again

http://www.billetwheel.com/cgi/whee...ies&img=12&tn=1

thoes are nice boyds, kinda c6 zo6 style but different.
a little high in cost, I did look at them before
maybe I should give newstalgia wheels a call again, I know they have great prices for boyds

they have the price listed as 2400 for all 18"s on their site, should I give them a call?

I saw one place have them for 550 per 18" and 400 per 17"

Interesting. A 315 will run on a 10.5 and an 11 just fine.

But you seem to be an expert so I'm not sure what your asking anyone for. Good luck.

well the thread was suppose to be about only wheels
not tires, it seems though I have caused some confusion

I mean I checked out nittotire.com and here's what they had

http://www.nittotire.com/popup_555_sizes.asp

285/35 ZR18 97W 10.5 25.95 11.30 9.5-(10.0)-11.0 1609@44 800

P285/40 ZR17 95W 10.1 25.95 11.38 9.0-(10.0)-11.0 1521@44 800

not saying I am an expert but I just did not think I needed help with tires

here's what firestone had

http://www.bridgestonetire.com/tires...r/index_bs.asp

P285/40R17 100W W BW 027-974 9.5-11.0 (10.0) 26.0 11.5

295/35R18 99W W BW 028-025 10.0-12.0 (10.0) 26.1 11.9

if you want to know what I still need help with, that would be backspacing and offsets for 10" wheels(as well as 11" and 9.5") so they will not rub on the inside of the wheel well and ride close to the fender/quarter lip without having to roll them, (in the case of 11", I would rather BFH than roll the lip)

also I invite with tire size or brand suggestions
as I have only seen a few brands which I can get the staggered sizes with both being from the same line

Nitto 555, Firestone Firehawk Wide Oval, BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KD, Goodyear F1 GS-D3, also some Falcon, Toyo, and Sumitomo tires

11's you will want a 50mm offset. Or 7.93 inch backspace. 9.5's is 7.25 inch backspace and I forget the offset. But that will get you there.

what kind of modifications would have to be done, to fit a 19x11 with a 305/30/19?

my car is lower with Eibachs

would my fender lip need to be flarred or rolled? is a BFH mod necessary? I guess I would need the adjustable panhard bar as well?

I did not buy them new, bought a set from another member here.
I will finally get them mounted today, after spending all of yesterday cleaning and polishing the fronts and backs of the wheels. I will get some pictures.
They turned out pretty clean. The bolts on the backside seemed the most difficult thing to get clean from apparently years of dirt.
