Wheel cleaner

Whats a good wheel cleaner that will get brake dust off that doesnt seem to want to come off???? i got some of it off and now there are specs of brake dust that are caked on there any wheel cleaner that will get through it and leave the rims shining.

Wondering the same, my parents car has brake dust caked hardcore in the corner of the front rims. Nothing will get it off.

I think mequires has a tire cleaner that you spray on let it sit and then hose it off. Other than that I just use stoners window cleaner every wash on the rims to keep em sparkling.

yeah i need something to penetrate the brake dust enough so i can wipe it off, i had some wheel cleaner that was a paste and it would get anything off and leave a mirror finish everytime to bad my stepdad used it all on his harley wheels and other chrome parts.

there were some really bad brake dust "stains" on my painted 10 spokes when i bought my car. no rim cleaner could get it off, i ended up trying meguire's heavy cut buffing compound on a cloth and it took everything off. can't say i'd try it on chrome though.

rubber duck,
do you think that the meguires compund would do any harm to some polished silver wheels? I have some that I need to get cleaned up?

ok well i used the mother chrome and polished wheel cleaner and damn it took the stuff right off, took alittle elbow grease but came off in no time i was suprise. that brake dust was caked on there to and it took it right off.
