Prostar Fitment/backspacing Yes I searched...
Getting ready to pick up some welds for the GF's 98 TA vert. It's all stock suspension wise. I have gathered the following
15 x 8 with 5.5 backspacing should fit the rear with some grinding on the caliper correct?
15 x 3.5 up front with 1.75 backspacing should fit with some grinding on the caliper correct?
Anyone have pictures of how much they had to grind off and what size rear tire should we be looking at? 275/60/15? 325/??/15?

Yea, you're right. You'll have to do a good bit of grinding.
Here's one pic I found, it should give you an idea of about how much to take off, I had to remove more than this though:

Thanks for the pic. Doesn't look that bad. Doesn't affect any braking or anything correct, just the cosmetic? What size rears are you running 315/??/15? And are you running the 15 x 8 or 15 x 10?

when i get mine, im gonna go with 295 50 15 BFG Radial T/A's i have MT street radials, figure i'll burn them up before going with a 325 50 15 BFG DR <-- but from what ive read, to make those monster tires fit, you will have to do the BFH mod, and quite possibly the fender lip roll mod. But they look sick as hell so it'll be all worth it.
One fellow mentioned something about using adjustable LCAs to center the wheel for better tire clearance....

Thanks for the info guys. I just want her to break all kinds of nifty **** in the rear and tranny and motor so we can finally build it. Gonna spray 150 thru it on the weak *** 10 bolt and see if we can make it a season.
