Default ProStar 15x8 or 15x10????

Got me an LT1 93 but wanted to run a Weld Pro Star but wanted to know if a 15x10 w/ a 7.5 BS will fit... or is it easier just to run the 15x8 with a 5.5 BS. These are for the rears ofcourse any info would help.

Much easier to run the 15x8, but alot depends on how big of a tire you plan on running.

I just bought a set of 15 x 10 Weld Draglites. Which would be the best tire for street, strip use? Also which is the best size. I have been told the ET Street are the best due to the wrinkle wall for a six speed car. I have a 98 T/A, any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I'd say ET Streets, and personally I like the 325/50s. But you might have to clearance the fenderwells or roll the lip on the fender. Do you have the stock 10 bolt rearend? 6spd cars are harder on the rearend, and the 10 bolt is notoriously weak anyways. Have fun grinding the rear calipers. I spent over an hour on each one

Yea, you'll still have to grind. I had 275/50s on my 15x10s. They'll fit without any rubbing issues. You can get away with not grinding on the front by using a spacer and longer stucs, but it's required on the rears regardless.

:edit: Just saw that you have a LT1, the brakes are smaller on them, so you probably won't have to grind anything to fit them.

I would recomend grinding the front or getting longer studs, ive had all the lugs on my fronts go to **** so far by running a 5/16 spacer and 15x3.5s. Im grinding my fronts down tonight.

I like the 15x8s with a 10" wide hoosier slick. I like how they bulge on the side. I launch mine at 4500 on spray and cant break the tires loose.

just my 2cents.
