Default 1991 ZR1 rims...

I wasn't sure where to post this but I need some assistance. A guy I work with has some '91 ZR1 rims he will sell, 17x9.5 in the front (fits no problem) 17x11 in the back, 53mm ofset, first will these fit on my 98 z28, and second, what is a fair price to off this guy? The fronts have 90% tread on them but I will have to replace the back tires, I was thinkin $350-$400 is a good price since brand new ZR1s are goin for around $800 w/no rubber, and I don't want to insult the guy. He baby's his vette and the rims are in great shape. Any advice would be nice....

If they are the original ZR1 rims in chrome and he knew what the going price for these ere, he'd probably just laugh or never want to take to you again. Then again he might cut you a deal if he doesn't really care. I would offer somewhere in the neighborhood of $800-1000 if they are OEM corvette ZR1 wheels. If they're just replicas, then maybe $600-700. It all depends.

He is just wanting to buy new ones, newer ZR1's, they are not chrome but they are the OEM's, plus he has to get his pressure sensors off of them, so the front rubber will be dismounted eventually anyway. They are silver and look pretty good. I've never seen these on a newer Fbod, so it would be something different....

I've seen a set of silver ZR1's on a NBM Camaro and they look sweet. Go for it man I would get them. It will give your car a real performance look. I would love to have them on my car considring I have the Silve GS Stripes

i dont belive those are the 5 spoke wheels are they? 300-500 is a decent price for both parties involved.. unless they are 5 spokes, then they would be in the 4-800 range... id give him $300 for the back two rims alone if they were the 5 spokes.. and my car has 17x11 ZR1 5 spoke replicas on the back already..

Your right Cop Car I forgot all about that there not 5 Spokes they are the salad shooter type. I take back my previous statements. If your building a track car then get them if not stay away. That don't look good on F-Body's IMO.

They are the salad shooter type which I do like...I am going to go and try them on in a day or 2 and will get pics posted to get your opinions. If I don't like it, I won't get them, who knows...I should prolly just kick in the extra 2 hundy and get some ZR-1 knock offs....damn I wish I was a Doctor or some ****, then I could be drivin a damn vette! SUCKS BEIN BROKE!! guess it makes me appreciate my fbod a bit more though.
