315 width question
The Sumitomo's are definitely a narrower 315 than the GSD3's. I trimmed my bumpstops and that was all I had to do. I have the AFS 17x11 50mm wheels and my rear is pretty much centered perfectly from stock. No rubbing but stock height. For the price, the Sumitomo's are unbeatable but you won't get the same miles out of them. How much driving do you really do? You could buy 2 sets of Sumi's for less than 1 set of the other brands. I've had no traction problems with my 315's so far.
I have GS-D3s in the back and I am lowered with a Pro-kit and I only *sometimes* get a little rubbing in the drivers side on the inner fenderwell. I know exactly where it is, I just have to pound it out a little bit more. My rears are 50mm offset 17x11 ZR1s. I also had to roll my fender lips, but that wasn't such a big deal. Have a look on my Cardomain page and you can see what I had to do to get these suckers to fit.
Are these tires really THAT wide compaired to others? It seems like they don't really have any more of a sidewall buldge than the next 315.
