17x8 tire size?
well i got a real good deal on some boyd rims that are only 17x8's .what tires can i put on the rear for more meat and better traction?they have 215/40's on them now.can i put some kind of spacer on the rears?would i have to use longer lug's?safe?
i think they look pretty good on the car.

i got a really good deal on them and couldnt pass them up.i still have my 9.5/11 ZR1's and 3.5/10 prostar's.these are just some daily driving rim's.the size was not bye choice.
i might try to squeeze a set of 275/40's on them.

I agree with Xsta Z 28. You cannot fit a 275 on a 8" wheel. They came stock with 245's from the factory and I have known people to upgrade to 255's but I would definitely not go wider than the 255 on a 8" rim.
I actually have 17x8's on my Trans Am. 245's in the front and 255's in the rear.
