I ask because I really want to get the Trans Am rear bumper for my Formula and was curious if it would cover the wheels a little more?

Yeah, I'd say they stick out too far. Car Looks like it just had an enema. lol But seriously I have 18x12s w/335s and they are 1/2in inside the fenderlips. Not even close to how far out those are. The TA bumper isn't any wider but it extends lower a few inches.

I think the TA bumper would help the way they look ALOT. I really like the green car's stance, but the formy looks a little bit out too far.

In person they look a lot different. I was shocked at first thinking thats not right, but the more I look at them the "tougher" they look.

Also depends on the tire and the offset. Both make a difference as to how the 315 looks out back.

A Goodyear 315 GSD3 is huge in comparison and a Nitto NT555R is not. A 38mm offset wheel will stick out more than a 50mm. You may just have some wide tires on a 38mm wheel, making it appear a little more pushed out.

This is what mine look like. I had to cut off the bump stops and do a little bit of massaging the inner fender. I have between 1/2" and 1/4" room on the inside after I was done. From stock, they are one inch in and 1 inch out. So I'm guessing if you didn't have to do any of that, yours are sticking out the full 2".

How well do the AR torq thrust 17x11 wheels fit? I know they have a ton of backspacing and were designed for 4th gen f-bodys.

That is the way you want them to look. Wide and aggressive! Lower the car and it will look a little more “tucked in”. My ZR1's are tucked in real good (had to roll the fender lip and bang the **** out of the wheel tub), but I would rather have them bulge out like yours. I have the Grand Sport off-set, but don't remeber if it was 38 or 58mm?
