35th Anniversary SS wheels
i'm thinking about painting my stock SS 10 spokes so they look like the 35th anniversary ones. some quesitons for the guys with them or who have painted their wheels similarly. i've never actually seen them up close, what kind of black should i use? flat or gloss? also, if anybody has any nice close up pics of the wheels, that would be appreciated as well.
just got mine done and on the car...
Mine are alittle different though, I polished the face of the spokes.
To answer your question I'd use a glossy black. Also, gmpartsdirect has the anniversary wheels for 636.00 per set brand new.

stockers for right now, and as you can see on the front tire they don't match. But I am going to see what the 35th's look like. I have a friend who just got a set and Im going to try thyrm on my car. If there not closer then Im not sure what to do.

I just used gloss black. My centercaps are black also. I did this to keep them different from true Anv. wheels. Plus I don't care for the difference in metal color of the machined surfaces and the chrome center caps I could find.
I do like the polished spoke look on slowmofo's wheels. Been thinking about trying that, but I've decided to get a totally different wheel.

pewter spokes with the back areas black. i sandblasted the wheel and painted it exactly like you would any automotive part. taped off the pewter spokes and then painted it black and cleared it all
if you just taped off and sanded deep area you could paint just it. id suggest using good automotive paint and clearing everything though.
what id like to see is white and black wheels. or like SOM or another brighter color as the spokes. would really stand out
