This is for a dd that sees the track is what I gathered from the guy. 14 psi on the streets does not provide sufficient stability for cornering is my opinion from my experience. I've run em low and don't like the way the *** end feels when they are under 20 psi. When he gets to the 1/4 mile track its certainly time to let some air out but we weren't talking abut how to hook at the track. I'll show you the wear on my tires and it is not in the center. Its even across the tire with some wear on the sidewalls. Lou drives a vette doesnt he? I drive a Camaro. It doesnt handle as well and isnt as light as a Vette. I know what works for me. Your in FLA. You drive around on flat even streets. I live in Oregon. Only flat even pavement here is at the track.

poorly prepped track maybe? my 245 nittos hooked like a dream on a well prepped track with a good burnout.

and maybe "retarded" was a little strong. I actualy wasn't trying to insult you I'm running a totally different tire as well, its not a "dr". Theres no way you can run around on my 30 series under inflated on these streets.

I run around town with 18 psi on the rears ... to me, this is the optimal all-around psi for the 275/40/17 Nitto DR's. Up front I have 245/40/17 Nitto Road race tires and I keep them at 26 psi ... works for me.

Nitto 315 DR's are my next tire, but, gotta' get wider wheels than these 9.5's I have on the rears.
