it would be awesome to strip them down and go fully polished... but the only problem with that, is you dont know the quality of the aluminum, i read about a guy stripping his hpr5's and the aluminum looked like crap, not smooth at all, dips all over the place, almost like pits, but they layered on so much paint to smooth it out... it would suck to find out after stripping them that the aluminum looks like crap.

Evidentally I am as torn on this decision as you - lol. I would say go polished or chrome. If you decide to go black I think that would look great as well - that is what I was trying to say.

i highly doubt they would chrome them for you... but if i were you, get the wheels, strip them as if you were to polish, if the aluminum is not presentable, send them to a chromer. spend probly 100$ a wheel to get them chromed, but those wheels are extremely cheap in the first place, and in the end you'll probly be spending just as much as any other wheel, even after chroming.
