Exclamation Finally! The IForged Cometh!

Hey guys, look what finally came after 13 weeks!

My Iforged Classics! They are chrome, 18x9.5(38mm) 3"lip front, & 18x11 (45mm) 4"lip rear I'm really really excited, BUT I just took my car in for paint two days ago. So the waiting will continue for probably another month.

Due to the above, I apologize for no shots of these on the car........ yet

My pool table bling:

If you need a car to store them on while yours is getting painted I generously offer mine.

lol thanks

Some guy in his expedition backed into my passenger side door at the post office... So that had to be fixed; meanwhile, I'm having the whole thing resprayed a custom red called Crimson Dust. Thats why it will be in the shop for so long. Hopefully everything will come together at once: tires, wheels, & paint.

As far as why it took so long.... who knows. I guess they were busy lol. I'm just glad they all look fine and have nothing wrong with them (assuming they will balance out ok) so none have to be sent back.

They tell you 4-6 weeks, but my wait was 13 to the day. They are awesome wheels though, so I guess thats all that matters.

Once I get the tires, I have thought about asking my brother to let me use his 99TA as a wheel model

Nice wheels! What kind of tires are you going to run? Are you gonna have to roll your fenders?

look nice....

hopefully the runout is within' iForged 0.10" spec...lol ok...maybe not 0.10", but it's not much less. The guy who mounted all mine mentioned to me he would like to know what their spec REALLY is, as he wasn't impressed. The same can be said with another set that somebody else has, as his installer said he wasn't impressed either with the runout on his set. The one rim I sent back for 0.10" runout was "fixed", but the Hunter machine said it was "marginal". Then the one I had the chrome lip replaced on came back with 0.07" of runout and the Hunter machine told me to replace it....while it was good before I sent it back to iForged. If you just have it balanced normally you will never know how "true" your rims are, that's why I get them road force balanced and match mounted.

they definately make some nice looking rims, but their QC isn't worth $0.02, much less the $$$ we pay for them, IMO.

I also see that they gave you the cheaper plastic center caps with the redesigned logo. When I recieved mine I got the all polished aluminum center caps with the old logo, then when I received my two rims back from getting them fixed they sent me those cheap plastic things. I am glad I didn't send my aluminum center caps with the rims when I sent them back in to be fixed.

thirty-thousandths of an inch (0.030") is industry standard for out of round. that is wobble from side to side when mounted to your car. if iForged was 0.100" out of round, i think the Department of Transportation should know about it. that is amazing in a bad way, the quality and workmanship could be that poor.

I know some of you have had some problems, but let me enjoy these for a little while lets not get into an IForged bashing.

Oh, and I requested the chrome center caps instead of the polished ones... I think the center caps look great with the matching finish.
