I have 275/40/17 on it as of now but there is nothing left to them Anyway, there is a set of 4, Sumitomo 245/40/17's in the local paper with 85%-90% tread left for $175 and i was wondering since the SS rims are 9" wide instead of the stock 8" if the 245's would fit or not. I had 245's on my '00 V6 and they looked good but if i'm right 245's would fit and not look wierd on the rim they way they are seated? Any idea's guys?~Cole~

I would really stay with a 275/40ZR17 tire. Putting on a smaller width tire is gonna look silly.

Not only would it look stupid, a 245/40 is too small for that wheel. A 245/40 would be a lil shorter also and might affect your speedo. Stay with the 275's.

I was wrong they are 245/45/17's But mine are the same but 275's But thanks guys. I will probably stick with the 275's ~Cole~

245/45 is the same height about as the 275/40. I have a set of 245's on a set of ZR1's i just bought but i'm taking them off for one of many 275's i own. They look kinda funny because they're so skinny but they're working fine for now...

Yea, 245's are too small and look kinda goofy.
