Do NOT buy tires from Wal-Mart!

You can get your tire patched. I had a few patches in my Goodyear tires that came on the car when I bought it. They may not still be z-rated, but who is driving that fast anyway? Unless you are roadracing your tires will rarely (if ever) see those crazy speeds. They hot patched my tire(s) any time I picked up a nail and I never had a problem. Hell, I drove those tires BALD!! I got 48k out of them!!!! Just take it to a Discount Tire or Belle Tire. Most of the time I got free fixes. But I did do business with them before too.
Or try a different Wal-mart if they have a competent service area that can do the hot patch. You should be fine if they can patch the tire. But I would still raise hell about them not honoring your road hazard policy. That's BS.

Sorry... to be the bearer of bad news....but.... They won't bend over backwards to get a tire they don't stock any longer... They will offer you an equivlant tire but they won't go out of their way just get one to match your other tires.

I'd think one of the people posting inhere who claim to be some sort of management could get you a direct number to someone in corporate who oversees the Automotive Service Department of the stores.
I'm sure a direct-line call from an irate customer would solve this pretty quickly.
Also, have you tried to find the same information from the Wam-Mart site? I've done this a few times, most recently with my cable company who's VP of Customer Service got a few emails from me. Within a day, someone lost their job and I got a substancial discount on my cable package for a year.

Update: Someone from corporate called me Friday while I was at work so I'll see what they've got to say Monday. She went down to a Goodyear dealer today and bought another "discontinued" replacement tire. And guess what? You CAN buy a road hazard on a Z rated tire unlike what was previously posted because we did get one on the replacement. I had them save the old tire and give it back in the off chance Wal-Mart does do something but I'm not holding my breath over that one.....

I appreciate the offer to sell me 17" tires but they won't work too well on the 16" rims on my T/A.

there is a number that they use to talk to the buyer, try having the store call the buyer, while you are standing there with them and see if that works.

I work at a Tires Plus in Ga. This **** would never have happened with us. We would have ordered and replaced the tire in the same day. All I can say is what everyone else has been saying. Go above their heads.
