Ya you will go a slower performance time in on accerleration. Since you have to spin more weight and diameter. Most 19 and 20's dont look that great but there are a couple. Also most people will only go with 18's as the highest, mainly because Fbodys arent made for big rims, and purley its a muscle car. Not a rim car. hmmm

18" is already big, 19" is pushin it to the limit with these fbody cars, very few of these cars look good on 19" wheels, and if they do, then its most likely a set of $4000 wheels...then you gotta buy tires nice expensive wide tires to match which will probably run $375 or more a peice. =) um and 20", as a fellow ls1tech member, my honest opinion is to not even go there man, jus being completely honest with u it will most likely, or at least %95 of the time, look like complete *** on 20"s

First and foremost it is your car. I personally think that f-bodies can pull off 19" wheels if the wheel is right. Here are some pictures of cars with bigger wheels for you to see. They don't look bad, and some of them just look damn right perfect....judge for yourself:

19's

19's

19 up front 20 out back

19's

19's

19's

I think 18/19 stagger with the correct offset looks great. But it's all an opinion thing and everyone is entitiled to their own.

Correcct, about $4,000.00

But they look good I think!

19s are ghetto. If you go with 19s, you can still get tires that are the correct outter diamerter. Will you lose some traction, maybe a little, but if you drive around on tires at the correct pressure, there isn't much difference between a 275/30/19 tire and a 275/40/17 when accerelerating and both at 30 psi.

Now if you want to compare them at 20 psi, yeah, there might be some difference, but in general you won't notice too much difference if you buy quality tires.

As for the loss of performance from the larger diameter wheel. Yeah, you might loose a little, but ask yourself what are you going after with a new set of wheels, performance or looks.

do what you wanna do, don't base it off others opinions.
i have been bashed for my 19/20 setup, but i don't care......it's what i wanted. and i didn't care if it hurt performance, as i don't worry about performance on public streets.
that's why i keep a set of 17 ss wheels for the track.

Personally I think 19s and 20s on F-bodys must have a big or at least somewhat noticeable of a dish on them to look right, such as the HP, Fiske, or iForged stuff.

go 19s and 20s. Its your car. If you can roll 19s on an fbod you can roll 20s.
I have 18s now, if I had 19s in the same wheels I dont see how it would look any worse or better.
