Default Confused on offsets

I have read the sticky but I still dont fully understand. I am looking at some Z06 Motorsports and I can get them in +56mm or +38mm. So which one will have more positive offset. Will the +38mm be closer to the center of the rim or the outer lip

+38mm will be closer to the middle.

With a +56mm, the wheel will sit further in the wheel well.

38 mm is perfect for 9.5" wide wheels.
