Default Wheel Spacer/Adapter: How thick is too thick?? 1" 1.25" 1.5" 2"?

hey guys, my buddy got some 1" adapters for his cobra and its sick. after looking at my ride i felt like a whimp . . . lookin into some ebay ones but i don't know how big to get. 1, 1.25, 1.5, 1.75 or 2 inches? what you guys runnin? thanx!!!!

for a 17x9 wheel i would get 1inch spacers. I've ran many sets of 1 inch spacers on my wheels.

I've used from 1" up to 2 1/8" on different wheels before on the old '69.

I use the 1" H&R hub and wheel centric adapters on my rear WS6 wheels. It pushes the wheels out flush with the fenders and l've had no problems after 2 years.
