Re chroming my ZR1s

The chrome on my ZR1s is coming off and I want to re chrome them but is there a chance I will ruin the wheels by getting this done?

its cheaper to buy a new wheel, i had one of my mustang wheels done and it cost me $236.00 i wont do that again.

You can buy 4 new ones for like $600, so unless its less than $150 a wheel to recrome them I would get new ones and sell the ones you have for cheap!
