I had the MX a good tire. I feel like a better valueis the Firestone wide oval there not in your poll but there in your price and very very good tire. I really do like mine. Very good traction on dry and wet.

http://www.nittotire.com/tires_555.asp

I vote Nitto 555. I've been using them ever since i got rid of my stock tires. They have excellent life, are great in the rain, and definitely blow away the stock goodyears in traction. They are also only around $165 at my local discount tire

I did this same research and came up with Kumho MX or the Firestone wide oval. I had the MX's got about 24k out of 220 treadwear and only rotated once. now I got the wide ovals and I really like them a lot, I think a lot of people miss these tires and there really good! Lots of people liked them just as good as the hallowed good years.

should take nitto 555 into consideration. i switched from bfg kdw's to the nitto's and would never go back. wet traction, dry traction, cool weather and track performance is better with the nitto's. just by switching tires i dropped 2 tenths in my 60 foot.

KDWS's suck, so do Kumho 712's. I'll throw another one in, the General Exclaim UHP. I would never promote General until I bought a set of these for my wife's Mazda6. If you want super duper cheap, find a set of Riken Raptor ZR's. The Steeda guys ran those on their personal cars in practice. Tread Depot and Tiresavings are two sources.

how good are those raptors?? iv been thinking bout putting the falkens up front to replace the near worn eagle F1's and then get some ultra high performance summer tires after they are gone..

The raptors hook like mad, but they have a somewhat tall sidewall, which I'm sure helps. The big "Raptor" on the side is ghay, but for what I paid, no complaints.
