Default 18x10.5 65mm offset

Thinking about selling 2 of my 18x9 Cray rims in exchange for 18x10.5 rims for the rear (I want more of a lip, see pic). The 18x9s have a 50mm offset and fit perfectly. The 18x10.5s have a 65mm offset. My question is, will they fit? Or will I have rubbing issues? If there are rubbing issues, can that be fixed with the BFH mod, or not?

Thanks in advance,
Eric

there will be rubbing issues. I'm not sure if BFH mod will help with it either. maybe a small spacer AND BFH. I have 18x10.5s with 58mm offset and I need to do a little BFH.

295 is the great tire for a 10.5" wide wheel.

With a 65 mm offset I'd recommend a 1" to 7/8" thick adapter/spacer, and the wheels will fill the wheel wells.

Are you planning on lowering the car? If not then a 3/4" wheel adapter (effective offset = +46mm) or even a 1" wheel adapter (effective offset = +40mm) should be fine. Of the two, I would prefer the 3/4" size, but I know that the Fikses like Andy's look very nice with the 38mm offsets on this size.

If you are planning on lowering the car then the 3/4" adapter is as aggressive as I would go and even with this you should plan on rolling the fenders a good bit. Nice thing is that using these adapters will preclude you from doing any BFH to the inner fenders.

Talk to Andris at Skulte for some high quality spacers and adapters that are built to your spec. PM me if you need more info since I don't think he's a sponsor over here.

I will be lowering the car eventually, and was hoping not to have to use a spacer. What would be a better offset for this wide of rim? Would 50mm be good, or do I want to go down to something like 38-40mm?

If I go the spacer/adaptor route, I will PM you. Thanks for the help.

IMHO, a 10.5" wide wheel for a Camaro should have an offset around 40 to 44 mm.
