Default How to tell GM ZR1's from fakes?

There is a guy that has some ZR1's for sale. He said they have a gm part number on them which starts with a 9 and he said they are 17x9.5J. He said he was told that GM did not have there logo on some of the wheels. These are off a 2000 SS. Any thoughts on how to tell the truth about these wheels?

I thought they all had GM stamped into them. Also if I recall correctly, the ZR1's from GM only came in 17x9's.

Camaro SS wheels are only 9" wide for starters, as for the GM stamp, it did dissappear off of the ZR1 style wheels. Not sure what year. My 2000 SS with chrome ZR1's did not have the GM logo on them . . .

My guess would be off of the part number. Enter it at www.gmpartsdirect.com and see if it comes up . .

The shape of the GM wheels IS different. The end of the spokes are "softer" more rounded. I myself only like the OEM ZR-1's.
