Painting Stock wheels? I have a set of 98-99 z28 5-spoke rims.
I want to paint them black just for *****.
Does anybody know how to go about this? anybody know of a write-up or pictures of members doing it on this board?

Pretty easy, sand the paint off the wheels if its chipping off like mine was, clean em with hot soapy water, prime, base, and clear. I'd suggest wheel specific paint, but engine enamel worked well...
I painted mine, can't remember the name of the paint but it was a rim paint. The rims had a plastic type coating so I used a primer for that and then painted over with the wheel paint. It is pretty convient if it scratches you just blast a little paint back on. I spent alot of time sanding and building up coats of paint then sanding again. They have two years on them and still look good.
