Arrow Chrome TT2's

I am looking at getting my TT2's chromed. I came to this decision when I went to a car show and saw a 69 camaro with chrome TT2's that looked a million times better than my polished ones. I had spent all morning in the 38 degree weather polishing mine and they still didnt look as good as chrome. And all he had to do was spray it with soap and water. Anyways I would like to see some pics of some chrome TT2's and some info such as how much you paid to get them chromed.

It's gonna cost you $300/wheel for the chrome plating. The second thing is that most electroplaters shy away from two piece wheels like the TT2's are. Gap/crevice on the front of the wheel (beween the two pieces) doesn't take to the plating process easily. You get a yellow ring that forms. To avoid this you would have to have that crevice TIG welded and machined. So you are looking at about $400-$450 per wheel for everything.

Ive never been estimated that much. I was thinking around 100 per wheel.

If you special ordered the wheel from AR and had them ship each wheel in two separate pieces, you could have each piece chromed and then welded together with your backspacing. The weld on the backside wouldn't be chromed and the integrity of the chrome near the weld area would also be affected.

Those are TT M's not TT2's. Only the centers are chromed and the lips are still polished on the Chrome TT2's and cost a whole lot more that $799 for four...

The only pics I have are from a mustang. The owner had them chromed, but I don't know his name.

I'm thinking about it myself.

They really need to start selling these in chrome. I would have bought them a long time ago if they did.
