the issue with sumitomos is traction at the drag strip. most people who dog on sumitomos are probably used to using drag radials or some other kind of sticky tire in the back (like nitto 555s). I got the sumitomos b/c I have a 315/35ZR17 in the back and i didn't want a drag radial...and the sumitomos are the only other tires there are in that size!

The biggest concern is heat cycling. Once they start to wear down the compound gets hard and the tire grip goes down. This is dangerous in the rain and when braking. I spun them on the freeway at 80 in 5th gear with light throttle in light rain. Almost wiped out big time. Pretty scary, but my TCS caught it in time and I have good car control skills so I was able to straighten it out. Then another time I was braking in front of a pipe gate and the tires just couldn't grip, ABS activated and the car barely rolled into the gate denting my hood. It was kind of freaky. I did some braking tests and they just didn't stop the car worth a damn compared to when they were new. I had them on all 4 BTW. So I'm never going back to those tires again.

There are quite a few more tires than the Sumitomos and Nitto Drag Radials. Just to name a few.... Yokohama AVS Sport, BFG KD, Good Year F1 GS-D3, Dunlop Sport 8000 SP.....

There's more choices out there, but non of them will be as cheap as the Sumitomos.

Did I hear a chance to ***** out my car? LOL

They are 17x11 ZR1's. The Borla exhaust is gone, in it's place is a GMMG with real Corsa tips. I'll get new pictures as soon as it warms up here.

I think the current tires on there at Goodyear DR's.

They don't look as wide as they do in person for some reason.
What exhaust is that? Those tips look good. (I would want performance for an exhaust, but I don't want to make the car look retarded, either)

It's in the sticky though.

"NOTE: 315 series tires DO NOT fit 9" or 9.5" wheels. It will not be discussed."

I believe that is an older model PS2. The new ones don't look directional to me. We have some of the older ones like the pics above at Sears where I work.
