Hey, that's Chris Tolbert's old Viper.

He and I were just talking about how much he misses that car last night.

When these people use a foreign product to compare to an american product, I just don't get it. They are both american products. I understand totally that the AR Rebels are cheap, but remember, like I said, some people have other priorities. If you can afford them, more power to you. Later

OK, OK...so its like comparing a chevy cobalt to a Z06 vette...both get you from point A to point B...but the Z06 just does it with more style. :p

Just playing, the Rebels look ok, but the Fikse look spectacular!

Just to add my personal .02 on this matter; If you're looking for a wheel that looks pretty good, you can race on, and will get you from point A to B, the AR wheels will definitely suffice. Our wheels are pricey because they're built with lightweight, durable materials, as their main purpose is for racing. If that isn't your goal, then there's no reason to get them, unless you really like the way they look.

Hope that helps your decision.

For comparison, this is what those AR wheels would look like without the extra "bits"... MUCH better in my opinion. If they offered them like this I'd be all over them.

Yea, the extra bits ruin the wheel IMO, if they were polished and without them they'd look real good.

Makes me wonder if they are a structural part of the wheel - and if they could be machined off.

Can anyone answer this... Has AR changed the lip on the black rebels? Here's the pic of the wheel on their web site... notice the lip doesn't quite look the same as the wheels above? On SS4Luck's car, the part of the lip where the valve stem extends is polished/chrome. In the photo below (from AR's site and TomzWheels), that part of the lip is black. I'm confused.

^^ The car posted has a stepped lip, those wheels do not. To be honest, I know that Fikse is head and shoulders above AR, however if there was an AR painted flat black like the FM-5's it would be hard to tell the difference from a distance.

Someone has recently informed me that the stepped lip Rebel is a newer updated design. The Rebel with the flat lip pictured above is the old design. Man, that caused me a lot of confusion as I was interested in buying a set but I don't quite like the flat lip (the pic all the suppliers are using!).

And i heard thats the AR Rebels don't make a proper offset for the F-body and kinda stick out in the front. Is this true?

Wow, that orange Firebird looks awesome!! The wheels are killer, and sort of remind me of the 3rd gen black GTA wheels. They definitely suit the car and as far as black wheels go, to me they look much nicer than Z06 because of the stepped lip design.
