Default New tires for my 16x8's. What to get?

Looking for some new tires for my 16x8's. Decided I'm gonna run them for another season. Anythoughts on a decent tire that will have good traction.

Can I fit anything other than 245/50/16s?? Also looking for more of a autox style tire not really drag racing/slicks.

Thinking about:

Check out the BFG KDW, Tire Rack-136.00 or Discount Tire-141.00. I just mounted 4 of them on my car, they look real good, I just can`t drive on them yet because the roads here are still salted up from the last snow. Come ON Spring Time.

I ran the 255 BFG DR's with no issue on my 95' TA. They're about .4" taller and a little wider too. I'd be careful going to 255's up front. I tried that on my old 88' Formula and they rubbed when the wheel was turned all the way so sticking with 245's up front is a good idea.

I currently have 255/50 16 Falken Ziex 512s on 16x8s on all four corners. NO problems at all with rubbing, scraping, etc.
