My Adventures Moving To 19" C6's

I reduced the travel on the passenger side by 5mm and so far that seems to have reduced the rubbing a lot. There are just a couple of small spots now. So 295's are go!
Based on the above pics, do you guys think I should get 295's front and rear or should I get some slightly shorter 285's and put them on the front? I'm a little torn, but I'm pretty sure I don't want to go taller in the rear.

I found out that the passenger side splash guard hangs down about a 1/4" from the sheetmetal while the other side is tucked up tight. That's why I had the rub marks on only one side.
I pulled the splash gaurd out and checked the checkmetal over the top of it. I only have maybe 3.5" of travel before rubbing it. That's not a lot. I have this idea to allow the front wheels to travel higher and tuck into the fenderwells more, but it it's going to hit the sheetmetal I'll have to do some more thinking on it. Anyway, for right now I decided to drop the tire size down to either getting 275 or 285 fronts. The smaller diameter will allow for more useful travel.
Here's the notches on the back side of the rim. They are right at 1" deep.
Here is a shot with the new rims on the front. It looks like 2 different cars melded into one. Wierd, huh? Each end alone looks good in their own way, but the front is the one I prefer.

Looks Good. I've got the 18*9.5 running 285/35/18.
I have no rubbing either... but the car isn't lowered.
I've been pretty happy with mine and get complements on them all the time!!!!!!

One of the big deciding factors for me was to spoke clearance for the 4 piston front brakes. I believe the Evo style just won't allow them. Plus the skinny spokes on the C6 really show off the brakes, plus the brake dust would be easier to clean off. Other than that, the Evo style is very cool. Especially what SLIKWS6 did with widening the rear rim.

Well, I have some new stuff to mention. I decided to go with some 285/30/19 front tires. My 295 rears are actually a bit on the narrow side so the front and rear tires are the same width, but the rears are slightly taller. I also tweaked the rear suspension just slightly. The new fender lip heights are 26" front and 27" rear.
The only thing I might do is lower the back just a hair. I want to create some more suspension travel back there first, though.
It took me a while to get new pics because the car was in the shop for the last 2 weeks. I broke my 3.73's
But hey, now I'm sportin 4.10's.
