Default Staggered rim guys help....

I have the staggered black z06's, and it's a pain in the *** to say the least trying to find tires that fit and look nice with the fronts. (as in the rear having a skinny looking profile, while the fronts look normal...stupid looking IMO) The 275's i'm thinking need to be wider also, they don't cover the width of that wheel very well.
Could you guys post up pics of yours and the tire combo your running?
Thanks.

that is because staggered wheels do not belong on an f-body. On the Corvette, the actual tires have different diameters and they are taller in the rear. So, the side profile remains the same front to rear on a Corvette. The front fender opening on a Corvette is smaller. On an f-body, the openings are the same size and it looks silly with a smaller wheel up front because the sidewall is taller up front.

I was mad all day for buying the staggered combo, trust me. I've hated how ugly they looked with the different profile from the go.
I'm really thinking about buying some new rims here when i have the extra cash, and trying to take my loss on these things.
Thanks for that info though, i was unaware of that.

Wheels i like in my price range
TT I, II's, M's....i think they are all fairly priced
I like the Rebels too, whatever is the cheapest or most fairly priced compared to looks i'll probably get.

Or you could just get two new fronts that are the same diameter as the rears...?

Exactly. I dont like staggered diameter wheels on f-bodies. i think it looks stupid.
I have 18x9.5" up front and 18x10.5" in the rear. I love it. I dont have any good pics of it right now though.

I have the z06 combo also. I am running 295/35/18 in the back and 275/40.17 in the frong. Looks a little wheel if you look at the tire profile, but i like it

That's what i've got on there now, well 275's...but 295's going on. I think i'm gonna buy these tires and just sell the rims and buy some TT M's.

Random...and off-topic...don't you live in puerto rico? How is it?

Back on topic...99camarosupersport I'd go with the tt2's if i were you. overplayed, yes, but still great looking and classic.

Yeah, but i like the deeper dish look of the TT M's, although they are very similar.

Any other ideas of rims that are Black, Deep dish polished lip, and wide rears? (and not 3k$ )

No, it doesn't. It looks like you have a larger tire up front and it kind of reminds me of those import drag racers that run a drag slick up front. lol

I'm pretty sure the fender opening on an f-body is bigger up front, makes it look even more awkward with a taller tire profile up there. If you wanted a "rake" you would have run a 25" tall tire up front, 26" tall on the rear.

Agree. And the dude with the TA, you don't have staggered rims you nut they are 18's all the way around!!

I love the "open wheel" look of the AR Rebels, but i would like to keep a 10.5-11" wide rear tire. Stupid, i know. But it's just some dumb preference.

The TT M's look like my obvious choice as of now, i love this rims, but i also love the look of a clean squared off 5 spoke with a lot of open room behind it, really looks great on camaro's IMO, and not these "busy" Z06's i've got now.

I know. I just wanted show that an 18" wheel all around with staggered widths looks better. And, ok, maybe it gave me a slight reason to ***** my car out. sorry

i dont understand what the big deal with buying a tire with a smaller sidewall int he front is???....i have the staggered too and yeah the fronts do look a little off right now but when i buy new tires im gonna go w/ matching sidewall's front and back...wtf is the big deal w/ that.....so the front will sit maybe....maybe a 1/2 inch at the most lower???
