You just have to have a +36mm to +50mm offset.
If you go with the +36mm offset on a camaro, the tires will stick out about 1/4 inch. Trams Ams have a slightly larger wheel well so the +36mm offset will work on them.
The +50mm offset will work on both Camaro's and Trans Am's.
Either way you will most likely have to BFH.

The amount of BFH (beating the inner fender to make room for the tires) that needs to be done depends largely on what tires you will be running. Good Year GS-D3, BFG KD, Yokohama AVS Sport are some of the widest tires for their numerical size and will require the most bfh. Nittos are the skinniest.

for a DD just go with the 9.5's, 11's are crazy, they also will require some work to fit, and probably a panhard bar, so if its just DD go with 9.5, but if you want a sick DD get 11

Definitely get the 11s out back. They look sick. I have 17x9s in the front and 17x11s in the back and daily driving feels no different than when I had 9" all the way around.
