Default Anyone ever used AFS for wheels?

i want to get some Z06's. i have already ordered some from discount tire (replicas). i am gettting 17x9.5 chrome for about $1000. i could probably get some from AFS on ebay for a lot less. i was wondering if anyone has ever gotten any from them and how the quality is. what i mainly want to know is if the chrome is going to start peeling off. thanks (insert "cheers" smilie, because i dont know how to use this site anymore!!!)

I've got a set of 17x9.5 and 17x11 Chrome ZR1 replicas that were made by AFS. They're a couple years old and i'm the second owner of them. The finish is still in great condition even after lots of road abuse.

I bought a set of chrome ZR1s from AFS. Wheels were very nice, chrome was good also. I would buy from them again.

Ordered a set of ZR1 rims from AFS through ebay. Had to return one rim due to it being out of round but the customer service was great. Had the wheel replaced within the week. Love them but may soon change over to the Z06 rims 18x9.5 & 10.5 rims.

I have black ZR1s from AFS on my car - I love them - they've been on for 25K miles and the finish is still great. AFS has really informative customer service too. I highly recommend them.

hey raven. sweet ride man. i love those wheels. those 11" in the rear? i own a '02 z28. red with black top of coarse. i think that these black zr1 wheels will set it off. what off set are they, 50 mm? did you have to massage the inner wheel well to make them fit? just stories that ive heard. so you recommend AFS? once again, beatiful ride man!

Thanks for the compliments, Anonymous Yes, I have 11" wide wheels in the rear. They are 50mm offset and I have had to do zero modifications to my wheelwells. No rubbing issues at all. My car is not lowered - stock ride height. I have heard that Firebirds have slightly more room within their wheelwells than Camaros for some reason. Some people have posted that you can safely lower your car an inch or so and still run 11s with no rubbing issues. Some cars require jounce spacers and or wheel well massaging.

Anyway, I hope this helps! The customer support people at AFS are pretty friendly and very informative, so they may be able to best answer any fitment questions.

Talk to ya,

I have 17x11's on my '01 Formula. Car was lowered about 1.25" in the rear with Hotchkis springs and I never had any rubbing issues at all.

I also purchased a set of black ZR1's from them. Needed to have one replaced because it had white overspray on it. Customer service, so far, has been excellent. The wheels look great and appear to be of highest quality. A big thumbs-up to them.
