Default Did I mess it up?

Someone take a look at this pic to see if I messed up my caliper, while grinding it for my prostars. Top of caliper has a small hole, I did a search and saw some pics of others, some had the small hole visible also.

Mount or Caliper I can not tell. If the hole is in the mount, that will allow a bunch of crap to get inot the caliper pin lube and funk it all up. You can A) put some sort of jb weld over it and call it good, or B) what I would do: drill, tap, and stick a cap screw in the hole.

Per Seawalkersee above, that has hit the guide pin hole in the abutment bracket. If any moisture gets in there, your pins could sieze in the braket...not good. You will need to patch it up (expoy, JB, or weld it), then paint the abutment bracket to clean it up a bit.

Be careful when grinding. A midwest guy grinded his caliper for his welds, and the caliper ended up cracking at 135mph and his brakes went out. He was ok but the car was totalled.. it was on a public street.
